Our Gardens & Nurseries

You’ll find us where the wild things grow.

A love of gardening is in our blood. We love to be in the midst of towering trees and tranquil, landscaped gardens. Many of our locations offer wonderful gardens to wander through and admire, while others boast fabulous nurseries, bursting with flowers, plants and beautiful garden accessories.

Our Gardens

Our base in Kilmacanoge, Co. Wicklow, is nestled in what used to be the gardens of the estate belonging to the Jameson Whiskey family, boasting rare and lovely trees including a 900 year old Yew walk. We love to be in the midst of towering trees and tranquil, landscaped gardens. Avoca at Powerscourt House is set in one of Ireland’s most famous gardens. Malahide Castle is home to fabulous botanical walled gardens. Even our Suffolk Street store in the heart of Dublin has a secret rooftop garden.

Growing Our Own Garden

In our Avoca Dunboyne location we have a kitchen garden, here we grow a lot of our own vegetables and herbs. We offering outdoor seating in the covered terrace amidst rows of growing fruit and vegetables, where you can immerse yourself in a true ‘farm to fork’ experience. If you’d like more details about what we grow, how we do it and our passion for local ingredients, you can find more below.

Mount Usher Gardens

An award-winning example of Robinsonian Gardens, we count ourselves very lucky to have one of our Avoca locations nestled in this stunning setting. A haven of rare beauty and tranquillity, Mount Usher Gardens was named by Monty Don as one of his favourite gardens in the world. You’ll love its relaxed informality and natural layout.

Mount Usher Gardens welcomes self-guided tours or guided group tours of our gardens throughout the year. Tour operators and group organisers should contact the gardens manager for all booking information. For more information call: +353 (0)404 49672
